During my 20 plus year career coaching elite level athletes and special forces, I have always lived by one motto “Love the process.” I learned this early on growing up in blue-collar Northeast Ohio where nothing was given for free and everything was earned. The foundation of my success could only come from the hard-earned lessons from failures and I truly loved every step of the process.
My passion for training athletes as a strength and conditioning coach began during my time as a Football Graduate Assistant Coach at the renowned John Carroll University. It was here where I realized a holistic training approach working with athletes could significantly impact their growth and potential. This, coupled with my intensity to learn about the discipline of strength and conditioning, allowed me to quickly climb in the field.
This foundation and passion has helped me achieve career heights greater than I could ever imagine, for which I am sincerely grateful for. Some of these successes include:
NFL
Atlanta Falcons - Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
XFL
DC Defenders - Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
St. Louis Battlehawks - Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Special Forces
75th Ranger Regiment 1st Battalion - Performance Coach
NCAA Football
University of Florida - Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning
University of Texas - Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
Iowa State University - Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football
John Carroll University - Graduate Assistant, Defensive Line Coach, Strength Coach
My number one goal as a strength and conditioning coach is to bring the very best out of each athlete, find what intrinsically motivates them for success and give them the tools to use that motivation each and every rep.
